Joanna Wright is the founder and director of Light Bible Ministries. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, she is a devoted mother of three and committed to her first love, Jesus Christ. Joanna is also the author of Beautiful Scars by Joanna. She has a passion for speaking the truth of Jesus to women and leading Bible studies. Joanna works tirelessly to advance God’s Kingdom as her full-time calling.
Her journey began in 2003 when she started by running a daycare at the age of 23, then moved on to managing a preschool, followed by a “Mommy and Me” program, and eventually community outreach to serve others and love her community. With over 21 years of experience in ministry, Joanna now serves in the Pensacola community, focusing on helping the homeless, single mothers with children, and women in need.
Since the ministry’s inception, there have been countless success stories, including helping members of the Pensacola community break free from homelessness, transforming struggling children, and empowering single mothers and women to live purposeful lives in Jesus. The ministry also offers career and volunteer opportunities to give people a renewed sense of purpose.
Joanna’s heart is for her community, and her ministry’s goal is to shine the light of Jesus one person at a time.
